Why Are We Here?
Have you ever wondered what life is all about? What’s the meaning and purpose of our lives?
Some in our culture say it is all an accident. "We are all here by chance. Our lives ultimately have no meaning." Others say, “Oh, there is meaning to life, but there is no way of knowing for sure what that meaning might be.” Thus, everyone’s opinion holds equal value. Still others are sure they know the meaning and purpose of life but offer no compelling justification for their belief beyond their own personal preference.
Here at Beacon Hill we do not claim to have all the answers to life’s great questions, but we are convinced we know THE ONE who does.

The Only Begotten Son of God
The God who made us has answered our most profound questions.
Not with words - but with the Living Word.
Not with explanations - but with an Example.
Not with propositions - but with a Person!
We believe Jesus Christ is the Answer to life’s most perplexing questions:
To those who are empty and hungry inside, Jesus said: “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35
To those who grope in darkness, Jesus said: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
To those on the outside looking for the entrance to eternal life, Jesus said: “I am the gate, whoever enters through me will be saved.” John 10:9
To those looking for guidance and love, Jesus said: “I am the Good Shepherd...and I lay down my life for the sheep.” John 10:14-15
To those who want to know which way they should go, which path in life to take, Jesus said: “I am the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
To those who want to live a productive life, Jesus said: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him he will bear much fruit. Apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
To those who want to know the ultimate origin and destiny of life, Jesus said: “I am the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” Revelation 22:13

Commit yourself to following Him all the days of your life. Proverbs 3:5,6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Mark 8:34 – Jesus said, “If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.”
